Ronald Mallory: A Sense of Place
Opening reception 5-9pm February 2, 2013
February 1 - February 28, 2013

Known for his ground-breaking mercury sculpture work begun in the 1960's, Ronald Mallory has lived in many countries and cities during his lifetime. "A Sense of Place" explores Mallory's two-dimensional mixed media works which he has created over the past two decades as personal memoirs while living in the likes of Paris, Rome, New York and Mexico... While this new body of work is more representational in nature than Mallory's non-objective mercury sculpture, it still maintains a "reflective" spirit and energy.
Mallory has been a two-time proud recipient of the Pollack-Krasner Grant and is included in many prestigious museum collections including MoMA, Whitney, de Menil, LACMA, Smithsonian, Albright Knox, TelAviv, SFMOMA museums to name but a few...
